Name. Jonathan Nicol
Location. Melbourne, Australia
I am a freelance designer, with over six years experience designing successful and creative Web and interactive projects.
I also produce design for print, illustration, motion, type and visual identity, offering clients a wide range of creative solutions.
I have worked on projects for clients including:
- Universal Pictures
- Coca Cola
- Myer
- Nike + Philips
- Simple Skincare
- Artline
- 20th Century Fox
- Holeproof
- Boost Mobile
- Aperitif Records
- Will Salter Photography
- Sony Ericsson
- Art & Industry Biennial
- Telstra
and many more...
My work has been featured in books and magazines including 'rethink, redesign, reconstruct' published by HOW Design (USA), 'Web Design Index 6' (Holland), 'Beautiful/Decay' magazine (USA), and 'Web Designing' magazine (Japan).
I have designed t-shirt graphics for labels including Beautiful/Decay and Bravado.
I also have a keen interest in type design, and one of my typefaces, 'Furby' is featured in the book 'Indie Fonts 2', published in 2003.The 'Work' section of the site has been updated (at last!) with some recent projects. Check out some exciting new t-shirts in the 'Illustration' category of my portfolio, and a bunch of slick new websites in the 'Web' category. I still have a heap of projects to add, but at least the site no longer gives the impression I went out business nine months ago!
