It's really important to draw the distinction between print design/layout and web design ... differnt media, different requirements.
cheers.

@Chris: I am probably a little more forgiving of Flash's shortcomings, given that I spent about 4 years working as a fulltime Flash designer/developer. But I wholeheartedly agree that Flash is not the answer to every problem, and shouldn't be considered an easy way to sidestep some of the trickier design issues posed by the web medium. I may write another article on when it is appropriate to use Flash in a website design.

A good article overall and I'll probably be passing it on to several print designers that work with various clients. However, I'd think your brief mention of flash will cause any print designer that reads it to try and get web developers to do everything in flash. There are two many flash based sites out there as is. With the problems that flash present for accessibility, search engine optimization, etc... it's something that should add flavor to a design, not be used as a crutch to implement a design.
And as far as flash and font usage, there are specific tools available to help deal with this without developing it in flash only.
